Camp Activities: Fernbrook Farms Summer Camps provide unique experiences on a 230-acre preserved farm with more than 60 acres of woods, two streams, two ponds and plenty of meadow and farm crops to explore. Both of our “back to nature” camp programs are offered weekly from June 26th to August 24th and your children may join us for one week or as many weeks as you wish. Days begin at 8:30am and run until 4:00pm with morning and afternoon extended care available. A healthy morning snack is provided each day.

During Fiddlehead Day Camp (ages 6-11), campers choose from new activities each day to nurture their connections to nature, history and ecology here on our farm and in our woods. Educated, experienced instructors will guide groups of no more than ten children to feed farm animals and explore the many habitats on the property. Fun-filled Fernbrook activities include: using a compass and map to lead the group to a treasure, making ice cream with fresh milk and fruit from the garden, creating a bamboo flute, building a survival shelter in the forest, spinning wool from the sheep, cooking with a solar oven, catching frogs and tadpoles at the pond and wishing the day wouldn’t come to an end!
For more information, parent testimonials and registration forms, please visit our Fiddlehead Day Camp webpage.

The Young Stewards Enrichment Program (ages 12-14) allows older campers to venture past the farm boundaries and use all of New Jersey as our camp to focus on local agriculture, ecology and community. Day trips during six of the offered weeks as well as three weeks of camping trips will allow children to discover the natural diversity of New Jersey when we explore the coastline and salt marshes, paddle local waterways, visit fire towers and native wildlife rescues in the Pine Barrens and hike through seasonal forests. Back by popular demand, the three weeks of camping include 4-day/3-night New Jersey hiking and canoeing camping trips for a maximum of 8 campers led by two experienced staff to develop new friendships and a better appreciation for nature.
For more information and registration forms showing day trip and camping weeks, please visit our Young Stewards Enrichment Program webpage.

Many discounts are available for registering early, siblings, returning campers, attending four or more weeks and others so take advantage now. Camp is a time to experience new things, try a hand at the unexpected and make lasting friendships! Don’t let your child(ren) miss out on this life-changing experience at Fernbrook Farms Education Center. Visit us to meet the farm animals, take a wagon ride tour, learn about our typical camp day and talk to the staff at Camp Open Houses April 22nd and June 3rd, 2012 from 1:00 – 3:00pm.
