HomeFront Kids4Kids is a resource for children, teachers/school administrators and parents looking for meaningful ways for children to help their peers and give back to their community. On this site you will find hand-on projects children of all ages can participate in to help the homeless, including dedicating a birthday party to Homefront, creating activity bags for homeless children, stocking diaper bags and more.
Jersey Off Road Bicycle Association (JORBA)

Children can participate in Sourlands Mountain Preserve Trail Maintenance or Save Mercer and Ride the Trails (SMART) trail maintenance for JORBA. There is no age limit but parents must accompany children under 18 years of age. The only thing you will need is some gloves and water. They will teach you everything you need to know.
SAVE A Friend to Homeless Animals

SAVE, A Friend to Homeless Animals relies on the help of dedicated and compassionate people who are willing to assist the shelter in any way possible. Children can volunteer in a variety of methods including Dog Walking, Cat Socialization, SAVE Cat Cage Cleaning (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) and more. You must be at least 14 years of age to volunteer, but children 8 – 13 years of age may volunteer with a parent. Volunteers must commit 8 hours per month. Trenton Area Soup Kitchen

Children can participate in a variety of hands-on projects to help feed the homeless at TASK, including the donation of Take-Home Lunch Bags or Dinner Bags (children can decorate the bags), donation of Hygiene Bags, and participation at the Kids Day-Off Program. On site volunteer work is generally for ages 13 and up, off site volunteer work is for all ages.
