Highlights: Fernbrook Farms, is a 230 acre working farm operated and family owned. The Fernbrook Education Center is a nonprofit outreach program that exists to educate children and adults about agriculture and the environment. The Fiddlehead Day Camp introduces children ages 6-11 to harvesting vegetables, making ice cream, wilderness survival techniques, feeding farm animals, spinning wool, collecting eggs and much more. This Camp promotes an appreciation for nature as it enhances personal growth and skill development. The Young Stewards Summer Enrichment program, for ages 12-14, focuses on local agriculture, ecology, and community. It includes weekly field trips which allow your children to discover the natural diversity of New Jersey. Children will paddle local waterways, explore the New Jersey coastline, pitch pine forests of the Jersey Pine Barrens and engage in a weekly beautification project. This program promotes teamwork, leadership and ecological awareness. The Farm provides year long programs for families, public and private schools, scout groups and home schooled children.

Highlights: For the history and farm animal lover in all of us, Howell Living History Farm provides an opportunity to travel back in time and experience turn-of-the-century farming. A self-guided tour takes about an hour and a half and every day there is a list of farming activities posted in the Parking/Picnic area.
