Hours of Operation: The Elmwood Park Zoo is open year round, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day from 10am until 5pm.

Highlights: For the zoo lover in all of us, the Philadelphia Zoo offers more than 1500 rare and exotic animals from around the world on 42 acres of picturesque Victorian gardens and historical architecture. The Tastykake Children’s Zoo includes a farm area where children can see sheep, goats, chickens and rabbits. There are also two new animal exercise yards where children can find macaws, porcupines, hedgehogs and owls and in the Backyard Bugs area, curious kids can see all sorts of interesting bugs. Lastly, throughout the day there are interactive animal shows at the brightly colored theatre.
